I study the paintings of Odilon Redon – my favorite artist. His flower paintings are alive and vibrating! We have a good one of his flower paintings at the Nelson-Atkins Museum and I visit it often. I like to just be near the painting so that I can feel the vibrations of the artist and his beautiful materials. You can’t get that from looking at a book!
This painting is inspired by the master, Redon.
